CIPPM Researcher becomes a NATPE Faculty Fellow 2009
Sukhpreet Singh, Associate Lecturer at Bournemouth University and Researcher at CIPPM, was recently invited as a Faculty Fellow by the US based National Association of Television Program Executives (NATPE) to their NAPTE 2009 Market and Conference in Las Vegas from the 25 to 29 January 2009. NATPE Conference Faculty Fellowship Program provides university media faculty with complete access to the sessions and activities of the annual NATPE Market & Conference. The goal of the fellowship is to expose the educational community to current television issues and practices, and to foster improved communication and cooperation between educators and the industry. Sukhpreet Singh is one of few European television academics to have been provided with such a fellowship since the inception of NATPE’s educational foundation in the late 1970s. NATPE is a global, non-profit organization dedicated to the creation, development and distribution of televised programming in all forms across all mature and emerging media platforms. It develops and nurtures opportunities, both commercial and educational, for buying, selling and sharing of content and ideas. NATPE’s 2009 Market & Conference attracted executives from around the world for sessions featuring leaders from all facets of the global telecommunications industry, along with hundreds of exhibiting media companies.
